Asia Argento grew up in Rome Italy. Her family is made up of actors, as is she, herself working in both fields. Close Friends (written and directed by Michele Placido) was when Asia's acting career truly started to blossom. Her roles went from young roles and then becoming mature. The Phantom of the Opera is the third time she has collaborated with her father. The others are Trauma as well as The Stendhal Syndrome.
